Writing a review

Page history last edited by laurenspuhler@... 1 yr ago

Write a review of an album, reality TV show episode, store in the neighborhood, food/restaurant, book, etc.

This one is harder than it sounds. You need to think about the difference between fact and opinion and insert a bit of your own voice within the realm of journalism ethics/standards (meaning no slander, you have to back up your opinion just like fact).

To make this review more "exciting for the web" talk to other people - use MOS video to get their opinions, link to other people's reviews (hint: look for experts that support your arguments), use sub heads and/or pull quotes, encourage your audience to add their feedback to your review via a comment on your post. BE CREATIVE. This is one time where you opinion and personality should really shine.

Include links to at least three web sites: integrated into the body text of your review.

Due posted to the class blog on or before class Nov. 11.

Your review should follow this basic format:

Who?

What?

When?

Where?

Why?

Describe the album, TV show, store, food/restaurant, book, etc.

Give your opinion and supporting arguments:
